5. Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin is one of the most consistent power forwards in the league the last decade. He is a 6-time All-Star and a 5-time All-NBA selection. He can do a bit of everything on offense. Griffin can score, shoot it, and pass. He’s also a respectable rebounder in his career (9 rebounds per game).

Griffin may not be the high-flyer he was a few years ago, but is still a terrific athlete who actually got better in a few areas. At 30-years-old he had his best individual season of his career with the Pistons this year. He averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. That is one rare stat line. It didn’t stop there as he made 2.5 threes per contest, shooting at a career-best 36%.

The knock with Griffin has always been his defense but with Andre Drummond protecting the paint, the Pistons just need him to dominate on offense. The duo carried the Pistons into the playoffs despite having no help from their backcourt. The Pistons had the least amount of talent at the guards and wings spot in basketball, arguably.

If Griffin has another big season, they should make the playoffs in a mediocre Eastern Conference. The addition of Derrick Rose will certainly hope.
