– Stay on the court

One of the issues for Bradley over the course of his career has been staying on the court. So far in his career, Brady has only played 75 or more games twice in his career. Since Bradley isn’t a young player anymore, it’s hard to imagine that he will be reaching that number consistently now.

Bradley has been slated by many to be the starting point guard of the Lakers. However, his durability will be something to monitor. In the last three seasons, Bradley played in 55 games, 46 games, and 63 games. Luckily, Bradley was able to see some more time on the floor last season compared to the previous two.

While the Lakers do have some quality depth at point guard, they would obviously like to have Bradley on the court as much as possible. Injuries and missing time was a big issue for the Lakers last season, and certainly one that they don’t want to see repeated.

Even though he wasn’t a flashy signing, Bradley will have a significant role for the Lakers. If Bradley is able to stay on the court like he was earlier in his career with the Boston Celtics, the Lakers will be in very good shape at the guard position. Bradley fits well alongside some of the bigger pieces the Lakers have on the roster.
