The Los Angeles Lakers kept up their winning ways against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers are absolutely rolling right now. No matter who it is opposing them on the court, they are defeating them. The most recent team to get run over by the Lakers locomotive was the San Antonio Spurs.

The Lakers defeated the Spurs 114-104 on Monday night, the second time this season they have won at the AT&T Center this season. This isn’t the same Spurs team we have seen in years past, but they were still game tonight.

LaMarcus Aldridge had a big game, scoring 30 points to go along with five rebounds. DeMar DeRozan scored 24 points with four rebounds and five assists, but it was not enough to knock off the red hot Lakers.

Anthony Davis‘ shooting funk continued in this game, as he made only 7-of-19 from the field, going 1-of-6 from the 3-point line. However, he helped out in other ways with 12 rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks with zero turnovers.

Despite his offensive game being a little inconsistent recently, Davis is still making his presence felt. Tonight, his offensive woes didn’t hurt the team much as LeBron James was absolutely dominant once again.

San Antonio had no answer for King James. He shot 13-of-24 from the field, including 4-of-7 from deep, en route to a game-high 33 points. His free throw woes continued, as he was 3-of-8 from the charity stripe.

Right now, the free throw line is the only thing that is stopping James. He added 14 assists to go along with three rebounds and one block as well.

The block was a patented chase down, which set up a Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 3-pointer before the halftime buzzer.

Caldwell-Pope has shaken his early-season struggles. Since he was inserted into the starting lineup with Avery Bradley going down with an injury, he has looked comfortable and confident.

Against the Spurs tonight, KCP shot 5-of-7 from the field, going 3-of-5 from beyond the 3-point line, totaling 14 points.

Los Angeles’ bench also came to play tonight against the Spurs. That is where they had the biggest advantage, as the Lakers bench scored 34 points compared to 22 for the Spurs.

Surprisingly, Rajon Rondo led the way scoring-wise off the bench with 13 points. He added five rebounds and three assists as well. Troy Daniels scored 11, knocking down all three of his 3-point attempts, and Kyle Kuzma chipped in 10.

With the victory, the Lakers record now stands at an impressive 15-2. They will look to extend their winning streak to nine games on Wednesday night when they pay a visit to the New Orleans Pelicans.

That will be an emotional game, as it will be the first time Davis returns to New Orleans since leaving. The former Lakers will also be motivated to play well against their old team.
