Los Angeles Lakers vs. Washington Wizards: Game 18 preview, tv, gamling information
The Los Angeles Lakers return home to host the Washington Wizards on Nov. 29 and we have all the information you need to enjoy the game!
The Los Angeles Lakers just wrapped up another impressive road trip, going undefeated again. The four wins on the road have pushed their winning streak to nine games and their record to 16-2 on the season.
Tonight, the Lakers will return home and play at the STAPLES Center for the first time since Nov. 19, when they defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder. They will look to run their winning streak to 10 games tonight when they host the Washington Wizards for their lone visit of the season.
Washington comes into the game with a record of 6-10. A 6-10 record is not half bad, given how some analysts talked about this team coming into the season. Many people believed the Wizards could be the worst team in the NBA. Instead, they are currently only 0.5 games out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Wizards are in the midst of a four-game road trip, with this being the third game. They split the first two games, losing against the Denver Nuggets but defeating the Phoenix Suns. They will remain in Los Angeles, as they will finish the road trip against the LA Clippers.
The key to slowing down the Wizards is containing Bradley Beal. The do-it-all shooting guard, whom many Lakers fans wanted the team to try and trade for last season when the New Orleans Pelicans shut down the Anthony Davis talks, is having a career season.
Beal is averaging a career-high 28.9 points and 7.0 assists to go with 4.4 rebounds and nearly one steal per game. The second-leading scorer on the Wizards is a familiar face for the Lakers.
Thomas Bryant has really come into his own since landing in Washington after the Lakers waived him. This season, he is averaging 14.8 points with a team-high 8.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. He is also chipping in 2.6 assists per game as well.
Why the Lakers gave up on Bryant so quickly is anyone’s guess, but they have to be happy with what JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard have provided this season.
Lakers fans will be happy to see their team in person for the first time in 10 days. The combination of LeBron James and AD continued to showcase their game on the road and fans will be excited to see them back at home.
