Anthony Davis

In no uncertain terms, Anthony Davis is the present and the future of the Los Angeles Lakers.

In his short time with the Purple and Gold, Davis has shown the basketball world that he is the next great Lakers big man.

Not since the days of Shaquille O’Neal have the Lakers had a big man this extraordinary who is capable of dominating every single night and get his numbers on both ends of the floor every game.

When you get to watch Anthony Davis each night, more and more of his talent shines through.

Whether it is his impressive handles for a big man which seem to be unmatched, his vision in making the easy past whether out of the post, to an open teammate on the perimeter or a fellow teammate who is diving to the rim, Davis has made those around him better by simply making the right passes and forcing opposing teams to double team him virtually every play.

On the defensive end, Davis is currently the best rim protector in the NBA. To anyone who watches him play this is no surprise. Any player who enters the paint does so at his peril, with Davis blocking or altering virtually every shot that comes his way.

If Anthony Davis can stay injury-free and healthy, he will be an absolute monster in the playoffs.

Davis and LeBron, while dominating right now they still both have another gear they can rise to. That should be a scary thought for any team that gets in their way.

LeBron knows what it takes to win it all. Davis has the God-given talent and ability to win numerous championships. If these two superstars can continue to build chemistry, work on the strengths and weaknesses and push each other to be better then the purple and gold could be adding another Championship banner in Staples Center.
