3. Anthony Davis drops 41 in return to the big easy

Anthony Davis played the first seven years of his career in New Orleans starting at the age of 19. He set numerous records with the franchise and is considered the best player in franchise history. This past offseason, he made it known he wanted out and it led to him being dealt to Los Angeles.

On November 27th, 2019, Davis would make his return to New Orleans and be met with many boos in pregame intros. Which I believe is uncalled for, he tried everything to win for that franchise and they just couldn’t get it done. Players don’t play forever and in this league, windows shut fast.

So back to the game. Davis was a man on a mission and made sure his return was a good one. He dropped 41 points and hit countless shots throughout the night to come away with the win for his team.

For the night he was 15-of-30 from the field and added nine rebounds and three steals as well. In a game that had a lot of emotions running wild, Davis came to play and wasn’t going to leave New Orleans with a loss.

His 41 points and a ninth straight win for the Lakers was a defining moment early in this season.
