Former Los Angeles Lakers that would be perfect in the BIG3: 1. Shaquille O’Neal

This is mostly a pipe dream as this ship has sailed as Shaquille O’Neal is a very busy man and is also 48 years of age. However, if the BIG3 would have come around seven years ago then Shaq probably would have been a part of it and would have been the face of the league.

More from Lake Show Life

Now, Shaq is busy with several different ventures, including his role with TNT. If he was going to suit up in the BIG3 he would have done it by now, so as perfect as he is for the league, this is probably something that we will never see come to fruition.

If there is one player that could go to the BIG3 at 48 years old and be the best player in the league it is Shaq. He was utterly dominant during his tenure in the NBA and against older or lesser competition that domination would be relative.

Shaq was not just dominant for his time, in a historical perspective, he was one of the most dominant players of all-time. He would literally just back people down and bully them and he could do the same against some guys that are in their upper 30s.

Shaq played in the league until he was 38 and made the all-star team as a 36-year-old, there is no doubt that he could go into the BIG3 and post up in the paint and be a lock for 30 points every game. Who in the big three would slow him down?

While Van Exel might be a little old, Shaq, who is the same age, could absolutely lace them up tomorrow and go out and dominant these guys.

Heck, maybe he will just work on his stroke and become the league-leader in four-point shots made, I would not put it past him.
