SF: Antawn Jamison (2012-2013)

  • Performance with the Los Angeles Lakers:

Antawn Jamison came to the Los Angeles Lakers late in his career and it was the last season of his career that he would have some sort of tangible role. After playing 76 games for the Lakers in the 2012-2013 season, he played just 22 for the Clippers before retiring.

Jameson was merely a role player on the 2012-2013 Lakers that saw a decent amount of playing time. He averaged 21.5 minutes per game, averaging 9.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Jamison had a huge game off the bench against the Denver Nuggets early in the season that may have gotten Laker fans a bit too excited about what he would produce. He scored 33 points alongside 12 rebounds.

  • Accomplishments outside of the Los Angeles Lakers:

Like Caron Butler, Jamison is not a superstar but had a very solid prime in which he earned multiple all-star nods. Jamison is a two-time all-star and one-time Sixth Man of the Year and was really solid for an entire decade from 1999-2009.

In those 10 seasons, Jamison averaged a combined 20.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. The only other players to average 20 points and eight rebounds in that time frame, with at least 500 games played, are Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Shaquille O’Neal, Elton Brand and Chris Webber.
