Los Angeles Lakers: Kyle Kuzma’s top 3 games of the season
2. January 18 vs Houston Rockets
In a game that the Lakers desperately needed, they got a win against the Rockets on the road. Many were questioning the Lakers as they were beating bad teams but struggling against good teams.
They went into Houston minus AD, but Kuzma did more than enough as the second option. Him and LeBron showed good chemistry and had the Lakers clicking all night on the offensive end. It’s exactly what you need against another offensive juggernaut.
In the 124-115 victory, Kuzma shot 8-16 from the field that included 3-8 from 3-point range. He finished with 23 points and eight rebounds. It helped compliment the monster game LeBron had with a 31/12/5 line.
Most importantly is Kyle was efficient on the night. His 61.7 TS% and 59.4 eFG% were both second behind Danny Green. Green was scorching hot all night long for them.
Finishing with a +4 on the night, Kuzma played well with the bench guys who also helped boost the Lakers. With the magnitude of the game and the media, this game lands at number two.
It was a good shooting night, but not his best. But matchups mean a lot, you have to show up when you have contending matchups.
