Klutch Sports’ founder Rich Paul keeps feeding his clients to the Los Angeles Lakers.

With J.R. Smith signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, Rich Paul adds another piece to his chessboard of pieces donning the purple and gold.

Smith is now the sixth player represented by Klutch Sports to be part of the Lakers in the current season. He joins LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Dion Waiters and Talen Horton-Tucker.

I do not know the official numbers, but this could just be a record for an agent.

Needless to say that Paul keeps expanding his power and influence on professional sport with so many clients on the most famous and favorite to the championship NBA franchise.

His role as a well-known acquaintance of the Lakers has certainly helped to smooth the talks about signing Waiters and Smith and provided a kind of guarantee to the team about his clients’ commitment. They have to be up to the standard and pledges of their representation company, in addition to earn a contract for their own well.

The rookie Horton-Tucker has essentially not seen the floor this year, but Waiters and Smith come in with expectations to play a big role on the team with Avery Bradley deciding to not take part in the second part of the season in the Orlando bubble.

MUST READ: Two areas the Lakers have to improve to win the title

James and Davis are among the greatest players in the league and look to lead the team to the championship. The two stars are set to be among the brightest in the league in this upcoming run, giving him great publicity.

In the meantime, Smith becomes the third career that Paul attempts to resurrect in Los Angeles, following Caldwell-Pope’s late success, and Waiters’ attempt interrupted by the coronavirus.

Rich Paul should also be looked at as an important figure in this trial times of turmoil for social justice and equity in America. As a black man who rose to success and reached the top in an area generally dominated by Caucasians, he could become a prominent voice in the fight for equality. He fought his way through adversities when obstacles were thrown at him in his path, earning the respect and recognition of the sports community.

We do not know if Paul has more players to add to his “Los Angeles Klutch Team” in the future, but should the Lakers win the championship this year, it would be six rings for his agency.
