The Los Angeles Lakers won a pivotal Game 4 in the Western Conference Finals.

The Denver Nuggets have the Los Angeles Lakers right where they want them, right? For the third time in the playoffs, the Denver Nuggets are down 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals. Can they come back again? Lake Show Life will answer those questions in Lake Show Life Lessons, the only Los Angeles Lakers post-game report with video analysis!

Wow, let the meaning of this sentence sink in for a second before continuing. After six years of being tied with the New York Knicks as being the worst NBA team percentage-wise, the Los Angeles Lakers are a victory away from returning to the NBA Finals.

Now for the next 36 hours, Lakers fans get to digest every sports platform talk over and over about the possible Nuggets comeback from a 3-1 deficit.

In a weird game that added to an even weirder series, the Los Angeles Lakers responded after dropping Game 3 on Tuesday by winning Game 4, 114-108. The win gives them a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals. It’s not that the Lakers won the game, they just finished with more points as crazy as that sounds.

  • Anthony Davis started unconscious from the field…but the man can’t rebound in the first half to save his life!
  • LeBron James for the first time in quite a while literally got tired of watching an opposing guard torch the Lakers backcourt and took the challenge to do it himself.
  • While he was doing that, he couldn’t throw it in the ocean standing neck deep from outside!
  • Dwight Howard absolutely killed Nikola Jokic in the first half. Then the Lake Show Life staff almost put out a missing person’s report for the second half! He hardly played!
  • The next game, the NBA world will be looking at the referees. There were terrible calls on both ends.

The storylines for this game were neon light style for this game.

The Los Angeles Lakers (Or LeBron if you listen to trolls!) contacted the NBA about LeBron James’ lack of calls in the series:

You knew that this coming after Mike Malone complained about the disparity of calls going in the Lakers direction in Game 1. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray was featured with many Nuggets in foul trouble as the Lakers had 24 free throws in the second quarter alone. Up until this game, LeBron had 10 free throws total in the series. This is nothing new, the Houston Rockets did the same thing back in 2018 and this discussion was brought up earlier this season.

Let’s just say it worked out in the end for the LeBron and the Lakers. More on that in a minute.

Finally, the other shoe dropped and Dwight Howard replaced JaVale McGee in the starting lineup:

Besides finding a way to stop Jamal Murray, the embarrassing performance on the boards prompted Frank Vogel to make the move and change the starter in the middle. 44-25 on the boards along with no rim protection might keep JaVale on the bench for the rest of the series! But it’s not like Lake Show Life didn’t see this coming…like before the season started!

Look, there won’t be another 3-1 comeback from the Denver Nuggets against the Los Angeles Lakers. But let’s be clear, Jamal Murray has given the Lake Show the business in this series.

Sure, LeBron James slowed Murray up at the end, but if Paul Millsap wasn’t so bad and Mason Plumlee didn’t have the basketball I.Q. of a little leaguer, the Denver Nuggets could have pulled this game out. Game respects game and Jamal Murray has a ton of it with surplus if needed.

Lake Show Life gives a shoutout to Jamal Murray, even in a losing effort he was far and away the best player on the basketball court and it wasn’t even close. It’s just basketball is a team sport and the Los Angeles Lakers have a better team.

Watching Murray’s press conference interview, he looked very tired and worn out. The Lakers role players helped the stars, Murray did not get the support of his teammates.
