The Los Angeles Lakers are going back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010! LeBron James led the brigade and will participate for the 10th time in his career! Lake Show Life breaks out the party theme once again in Lake Show Life Lessons! The only Los Angeles Lakers website that has party themes to post-game reports!
Lake Show Life has two announcements. Number one, we would love to extend a Happy Birthday wish to Ms. Jeanie Buss. Your father Dr. Jerry Buss is looking down with Kobe Bryant and Gianna just beaming with pride. Why? Because of the second announcement!
The Los Angeles Lakers are going back to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010!
LeBron James will be in familiar territory around this time in an NBA season, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 117-107 win over the Denver Nuggets. For the third straight series, the Lake Show ended their opponent’s season in a “Gentlemen’s Sweep” and made sure the Denver Nuggets did not come back from a 3-1 deficit for a third straight series.
Let’s be honest here. For real folks, how many were looking at a Monday night Game 6 matchup with dread? Charles Barkley even had this writer rolling his eyes.

It’s not like this game was complete domination because it should have been easier than this. Jerami Grant was outstanding in defeat (Just saying, this guy is a free agent. Might want to try to sign him!) and Jamal Murray showed so much heart with leg injuries.
After the Lakers went into halftime up 10, the Nuggets outscored them 33-26 in the third quarter as the Lake Show took a nap on defense. After Anthony Davis nailed 3-pointer over two Nuggets in the closing seconds leading to the final quarter, LeBron had enough of the Western Conference Finals!
This post-game report will be a party theme dedicated to the long time readers of Lake Show Life that leave opinionated and passionate comments for the last two years. We’re going to start the music with the oldie but goodie “I Love LA” by Randy Newman!
Laker fans should enjoy this. What this franchise accomplished in a calendar year was nothing short of amazing. Remember last year?
- LeBron James was subpar dealing with groin injuries and leadership.
- The locker room was a mess after the Anthony Davis trade didn’t go through last year.
- Magic Johnson quit 45 minutes before the final game and went on ESPN and blasted Rob Pelinka.
- Rob Pelinka was openly questioned about his qualifications on running this team.
- They traded their future to acquire Anthony Davis. A move that compared the Brooklyn Nets/Kevin Garnett trade!
- Two coaches turned down the coaching position before Frank Vogel accepted the job.
- Kawhi Leonard decided to join the cross the hall L.A. team, the Clippers.
It’s like this team all got in a room, decided on what was needed, accepted the challenge and went out and executed a year-long plan that got this team back in the NBA Finals.
Now we can all sit back and see who the Lakers will meet for a potential title number 17. Will it be the hard-charging Miami Heat led by Jimmy Butler and LeBron’s old colleagues, Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra? Or will it be yet another Boston Celtics Finals matchup to continue the historic rivalry?
Right now? Who cares? Party Time!
