Lakers Rumors has Bogdan Bogdanovic floating around. Here’s why the reports are there!

So you thought the Dwight Howard free agency thing was bad huh?

At least it won’t spark a possible investigation like the botched Bojan Bogdanovic deal between the Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings. For some reason, neither team felt the need to counsel Bojan on what was going on and he backed out to become a restricted free agent.

It was rumored that the Atlanta Hawks was looking at Bogdan, but they signed Danilo Gallinari to a 4 year $61 million deal. Here’s where the Lakers can make a play for Bogdanovic.

Lakers Rumors scenario…A sign and trade deal including Kyle Kuzma and JaVale McGee.

To all of the people reading this thinking this deal is complete garbage, let’s take a look at what Sacramento was willing to take from Milwaukee…

Bucks receive: Bogdanovic and Justin James.

Kings receive: Donte DiVincenzo, D.J. Wilson and Ersan Ilyasova (Who was waived almost immediately after the deal went through!).

The Kings immediately extended Bogdanovic a $10.7 million qualifying offer so Sacramento keeps the right to match any offer sheet Bogdanovic signs with another team. In short, this will buy the Kings some time to make a deal so this is not a total disaster. De’Aaron Fox just signed a max deal so Bogdan is gone!

There are a couple of names that can be used in a potential Kings-Lakers Bogdan Bogdanovic trade. Kyle Kuzma and JaVale McGee could be used in a sign and trade deal. Throw in a couple of sweeteners (If KCP goes too high on his price?) then Bogdanovic’s salary can match up.

The Lakers would be on the hook for $12.7 million for this season. Then Bogdan could opt out and re-up for more money. Pelinka would have to sell him on future earnings. If you think the man can’t do it, remember Anthony Davis waived his trade kicker for millions in his trade from New Orleans.

Now that Wesley Matthews is in the fold, there are a couple of players that are now expendable. Read on to see who those players are!
