2. Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards have a big need for a forward that can play both positions. They currently don’t have a small forward on the roster. With the team trying to retool and make a playoff run with John Wall and Bradley Beal, a trade here is an intriguing option.

The team has some big contracts on the roster, especially after bringing back Davis Bertans. But the opportunity is there for them to be competitive if they’re healthy. It might not be a contender, but Kuzma would be a good piece with them, especially if Wall is traded eventually.

The Wizards have Beal who looks to be staying long-term his age lines up well with Kuzma and Bertans. So the team has options to retool on the fly if they so choose. Kuzma will have a better opportunity to thrive with a Wizards team that won’t put so much pressure on him.

Being a third option and the talk of a lot of rumors could have a negative effect on you. Kuzma has struggled with his confidence and needs to find a team that he can play his game that he is accustomed to. The Wizards can offer that opportunity.

With all trades, the Lakers should be looking at draft picks. But an intriguing name here could be Ish Smith attached as well. Always been subject to some Lakers rumors.
