LeBron James was allegedly calling out the Chicago Bulls plays during the game!

Anthony Davis’ demolition work of the Bulls is the story of the game. The second major storyline was the struggles the Chicago Bulls had scoring the basketball. By halftime, the Lakers were up 30 points (It would have been 33, but the officials waved off KCP’s second potential buzzer beater!) and the Bulls had only scored 33 points.

After the game, Bulls rookie Patrick Williams may have the reason.

There were reports that according to Williams, LeBron was calling out Bulls’ plays ahead of time.

"“You can tell he watches a lot of film,”"

This probably was one of the plays that he called out.

  • Alex Caruso defends Zach Lavine here by (Much more on him later!) fighting through a soft pick by Lauri Markannen while LeBron rushes to create a double team.
  • Lavine tries to execute the pick and roll with a pass to his teammate.
  • LeBron deflects the pass and Caruso steals.
  • Caruso hits LeBron on the break with a perfect bounce pass for slam dunk.

Besides cracking the Bulls offensive codes, LeBron filled up the box score with 17 points (6-16 shooting!), 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. He took full advantage of all the attention Davis was getting. When was the last time you saw LeBron THIS WIDE OPEN for a dunk in the half court?

It’s hard to explain how amazing it is that LeBron actually knew the actual Chicago plays before they happened. Good luck finding any NBA players that can pull it off.

While the Los Angeles Lakers superstars basically put the Bulls out of commission by themselves, the bench really performed well while welcoming back a player Lakers fans hadn’t seen in a while.
