2. Sterling Brown

The Los Angeles Lakers could get a young three-point shooter in Sterling Brown

The Houston Rockets are in no place to contend this season. It is a transition time for the Rockets as they traded Russell Westbrook in the offseason before trading James Harden during the season to the Brooklyn Nets.

The Rockets have good pieces in Victor Oladipo, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins but they do not have the talent to make any sort of deep playoff run. For that reason, Houston should be looking to sell off any assets they can at the deadline, including Sterling Brown.

Brown is on a one-year deal with Houston and has been shooting red-hot from beyond the arc this season. Brown is shooting at a 40.8% clip from beyond the arc after not realizing his three-point potential in his three years with the Bucks.

Brown would be such a cheap trade acquisition for the Lakers, making it a great risk for the team to take. This would be similar to the Reggie Bullock trade from two seasons ago where all the Lakers really had to send was Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk.

Package Alonfzo McKinnie with a G league player with potential, such as Cacok, and it should be a done deal.
