2. Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers, by my best estimations, are the second-most-likely team to sign Blake Griffin. The fit on the team is not as clear as it is with other teams but the Lakers are bonafide title contenders, giving Griffin the chance to win a ring.

Griffin would essentially get an extended tryout with the Lakers while Anthony Davis rests. Not only would he give the team depth during that time, but he could prove what kind of role he would have in the playoffs.

The Lakers, even if it hurts them at points in the regular season, should give Griffin a decent-sized role with the team while Davis is out to truly gauge the situation. Once Davis returns, unless Griffin is outright terrible, he should at the very least get the minutes that Markieff Morris is currently getting.

Griffin has not been great the last two years and the injuries, as well as the league simply changing, have left him a shell of his former self. But as we saw with Dwight Howard last season, sometimes a player needs is to play on a contender and benefit from playing with LeBron James to right the ship.

The old Blake Griffin is gone. But if all goes right and Griffin has a newfound fire lit beneath him, he could become a very important role player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Playoffs.
