The Los Angeles Lakers start their last week of the regular season against the Phoenix Suns at home. The Lakers are trying to get out of the 7th seed which qualifies them for the NBA’s Play-In tournament. The Suns were gunning for the number one seed.

Lake Show Life breaks down what else happened in Lake Show Life Lessons! The only Los Angeles Lakers extended post-game report with in-depth analysis and highlights.

So it seems that the Los Angeles Lakers find something extra when it comes to upper echelon teams…

The Lakers dominated the Phoenix Suns 123-110 in yet another shocking upset. It seems when everyone writes the Lake Show off to impending doom, they find a way to pull a magic act to remind everyone who the reigning World Champions are.

As the Los Angeles Lakers try to scratch and claw their way into the top six seeds of the Western Conference, the team came into this game struggling mightily on the offensive end with virtually no point guards left on the roster.

  • LeBron James still out due to his high ankle sprain that sidelined his again after two games.
  • Dennis Schroder being away from the team in NBA’s Health and Safety protocols.
  • Talen Horton-Tucker had just returned after missing the last two games with a calf strain.

No disrespect to Alex Caruso, who played a great game against Portland scoring a season high 18 points, but after the Blazers loss, two-time All-Star and former Laker Isaiah Thomas took to Twitter to make his case for a roster spot in a since deleted tweet.

"Man I could help them Lakers boys during this time!!!! — Isaiah Thomas (@isaiahthomas) May 8, 2021"

Another former Lakers guard, Quinn Cook weighed on co-signing Thomas’ observation.

It doesn’t take much for NBA players to find inspiration. Let’s see how the Lakers guards did against one of the top two teams in the NBA.

  • Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: 17 points (On the strength of four 3 point shots!), 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals helping lock up Devin Booker!
  • Alex Caruso: 17 points (6-11 shooting! Gotta work on those free throws…), 8 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals.
  • Ben McLemore: 12 points (4-7 from the land of the extra point!) in 22 minutes.
  • Talen Horton-Tucker: 7 points (3-7 shooting!), 2 rebounds and 3 assists.

Basically, this performance shows Quinn Cook and Isaiah Thomas that the Lakers probably will survive for a few more days until LeBron James and Dennis Schroder comes back. Their services won’t be needed at this time.
