2. Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings are a fitting destination for Montrezl Harrell and Harrell is the perfect kind of player that they are seemingly always in the market for. The Kings are the perfect representation of a mediocre team that has enough young talent to convince itself that it is a few pieces away from the playoffs but never has the money, nor the allure, to attract big names.

The Kings have enough money to bring in Harrell, which might not even matter if he is an MLE signing, and Harrell is the perfect caliber of player that is known enough to get the fanbase excited but not good enough to completely flip the fortune of the team.

The Kings could certainly use the edge that Harrell brings and that tenacity on the court does fit the Kings’ ethos… at least, the Kings ethos of the past.

Hassan Whiteside was signed to a one-year deal and the Kings do not have a ton of depth in the frontcourt. Harrell would be a schematic fit as he would be able to run up and down with De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield and co. and would not take away minutes from Marvin Bagley in the frontcourt.

And if you are the Kings and you are not contending at the break, which you probably won’t be, you can then flip Harrell for assets at the deadline, making it a win-win all-around for the team.
