It appears as if Kyle Kuzma’s tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers could be coming to a close.

Last week, we broke down here at Lake Show Life the reasons why a Kuzma trade is more likely than ever. Kuzma’s new contract extension that kicks in next season actually makes him much easier to trade, opening the door for the Lakers to make a move following a disappointing exit in the first round.

Now there are reports that the Lakers could actually be looking to move on from Kuzma via trade this offseason. While nothing has yet been reported by the big-name NBA journalists, all of these signs are pointing in the wrong direction for Kuzma.

Kyle Kuzma’s trade value for the Los Angeles Lakers is not what you would expect.

Kyle Kuzma is a perfect case study for the modern NBA fan. He somehow is not a great player when he does not play well for the Lakers but is also worth way more than any potential trade package for him.

It is the classic case of fans wanting a huge return for Kuzma while also wanting him off the team because he is not playing well. We cannot have it both ways. The reality of the situation is that Kuzma is not as valuable as he was two years ago, and the trade returns for him are not going to be that great.

However, it can still help the Los Angeles Lakers but addressing some of the team’s biggest needs this offseason. Let’s dive into three potential trade packages for Kyle Kuzma, and remember, his value might not be as much as you may think.
