The Los Angeles Lakers may have been eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs but they are still one of the early favorites to win the NBA Championship next season. That happens when you arguably the best duo in the entire league in LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Injuries derailed the Lakers this season but that does not mean that the team can be complacent in the offseason. The Lakers have to get better this offseason so they don’t get worse compared to the rest of the league. There is work to do.

Unfortunately, the Lakers are not in the best position to make an influx of moves. Having two superstars also restricts a team financially, and while the Lakers are a big-market team, they do not have much money to work with.

We broke down our dream Lakers offseason earlier this week that works financially while also being realistic. But what about the flip side of that conversation?

What are the moves that could derail the Los Angeles Lakers offseason?

Again, the Lakers will still be in the championship conversation regardless because of LeBron and AD. However, there are certain moves, out of the Lakers’ control, that can completely derail the team’s offseason.

We hope none of these happen but they certainly are on the table. Here are the three moves that would derail the Los Angeles Lakers’ offseason.
