2. Malik Monk

Malik Monk is going to be a big part of the rotation for the Los Angeles Lakers so it is unclear how much he is actually going to play in the preseason, particularly this early. That being said, the younger players on the roster are going to have to eat some preseason minutes as it is more important for the veterans to rest.

For that reason, there is a good chance that we see a fair amount of Malik Monk in this game and Laker fans should be excited. If there is any player that can light it up in the preseason and put up big numbers it is Monk.

Anyone that follows my work here on Lake Show Life knows that I am thrilled about Monk coming to the Lakers. He is a recent lottery pick who struggled early in his career, as many young players do, and really started to show signs of potential last season.

Monk is terrible defensively but offensively he has a lot of potential to be a microwave scorer off the bench. Not only does he have a solid three-point shot but Monk is very quick and athletic and is a threat to drive to the rim.

Monk probably is not someone who is going to be in the crunch time lineup for the Los Angeles Lakers because of his defense, but as a bench player, there is a lot of potential for Monk in LA.
