The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of the team’s first win of the season and play their first road game of the season on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs. Not only is it the first road trip for the Lakers but it is the first back-to-back as LA heads to Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

The first two games were really ugly for the Lakers and some were hitting the panic button. It felt good to get back on the right track in the third game of the season, even if it took Ja Morant missing a free throw for the Lakers to win.

The team is entering an easy slate of the schedule and while it is dealing with injuries and is still finding its identity, it is important to rack up as many wins as possible this early in the season with the easy slate ahead.

Vegas seemingly hasn’t caught up to the Lakers as the odds against the Spurs are quite surprising.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Spurs odds, spread, over/under:

According to WynnBET, the Los Angeles Lakers are only 2.5-point favorites on the road against the San Antonio Spurs. That is three and a half points less than they were favored over the Memphis Grizzlies, who I would argue is a much better team than San Antonio.

The Lakers are -145 moneyline favorites while the Spurs are +125 underdogs. The over/under for the game has been set at 223 points.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Spurs prediction:

I may have already given away my pick by calling it surprising and bringing up the fact that the Lakers were favored more against the Grizzlies but this is, in my opinion, the easiest pick to make all season. I might make myself look like a fool by saying this but this feels like free money.

The Spurs are not a good basketball team. They opened the season with a big win over the Orlando Magic and have lost back-to-back games since. I will give them credit: they lost to Denver and Milwaukee and kept the games close but I do not think that makes them a good basketball team.

MUST-READ: 2 rotation changes Frank Vogel should already make

Can you name the third-best player on the Spurs without looking? The answer is probably Dejounte Murray or Doug McDermott. That should tell you all you need to know.

They don’t get to the free-throw line and they are last in the league in rebounding heading into this game. The size of the Lakers is going to be a problem for the Spurs and as ugly as it has been early on for the Lakers, this should be an easy win and should be one that they win by more than one shot.

I am going with Los Angeles Lakers -2.5 and under 223 points with a final score prediction of Lakers 110, Spurs 103.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Spurs TV channel:

This is not a nationally televised game so fans in the Los Angeles market can watch the game on Spectrum SportsNet.

Los Angeles Lakers schedule and next game:

As mentioned, the Lakers head to OKC to take on the Thunder after (hopefully) covering against the San Antonio Spurs. It is a quick road trip for the Lakers as they return home on Friday to host the Cleveland Cavaliers.

That homestand will last another two games as they take on the Houston Rockets in back-to-back games on Halloween and on Tuesday, November 2.
