The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of a five-game road trip and Thanksgiving with their families to host the Sacramento Kings on Friday night. With LeBron James healthy and no upcoming suspensions, the purple and gold are in dire need of getting things going this season.

A 10-10 record should be considered a big disappointment with how easy the team’s early-season schedule is. We are already 25% through the 2021-22 season and the Lakers need to figure it out quickly.

The Kings are a good opponent to get some momentum against as they are 7-12 this season and have recently fired former Lakers head coach, Luke Walton. With the Lakers back home, they are also back to being favorites as well.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Pacers odds, spread, over/under:

According to WynnBET, the Los Angeles Lakers are hefty favorites in this game, coming in as 7.5-point favorites over the Kings. This makes the Lakers a -320 favorite while the Kings are a +260 underdog. The over/under has been set at 229.5 points.

This is one of the biggest lines for the Lakers this season as the team is coming off consecutive games in which they were underdogs and covered the spread.

As disappointing as the Lakers have been this season, they absolutely should win this game. The Lakers have the talent advantage over the Kings, who are one of the most dysfunctional franchises in American sports.

That being said, with the way the Lakers have played this season I do not think they should be favored as much as they are. The Lakers have dropped several disappointing games and I would not take them as 7.5-point favorites against anyone.

Could they cover that against the Kings and blow them out? Absolutely. But with the team’s recent record against the spread and the track record this season, it seems much more likely that this is a closer game.

I do still think the Lakers are going to win but from a betting perspective, I like the Kings. I am going with Kings +7.5 and under 229.5 with a final score prediction of Lakers 110, Kings 105.

The Los Angeles Lakers have one more home game following this game as it is a rematch against Isaiah Stewart and the Detroit Pistons. That is a quick rematch against an Eastern Conference team following the brawl that happened last week.
