Los Angeles Lakers vs Pacers prediction, odds, TV channel for Wednesday

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off the biggest win of the entire season as they defeated the Utah Jazz on Monday night. The Lake Show stayed in LA for one more game at home as they host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

Frank Vogel squares off against his former team amid rumors of him being on the hot seat. Meanwhile, the Pacers have essentially packed it in this season and there is a really good chance that the Pacers team we see on Wednesday is not the same team we see a month from now.

The Lakers do not play the Pacers again this season. The two teams squared off for the first time on November 24 and the Lakers won in overtime, 124-116. The Lakers have won three games in a row against the Pacers.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Pacers odds, spread, over/under:

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of the big win over the Utah Jazz as five-point favorites over the Pacers. The Lakers are a -210 moneyline favorite while the Pacers are a +170 moneyline underdog. The over/under for the game has been set at 225 points.

Thus far this season, the Lakers are 18-26 against the spread while the Pacers are 21-22-1 against the spread.

The Los Angeles Lakers are such a weird team to pick. I have never been more confident in the Lakers not covering the spread as I was against the Utah Jazz. Yet somehow, the Lakers played their best defense of the season (Donovan Mitchell getting hurt helped) and held the NBA’s top-scoring team to 95 points.

If that version of the team shows up then it is a no-brainer to pick them against a team of the Pacers’ quality, especially without Myles Turner. However, if there is one thing we know about this Lakers team, it is that they are Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (and more often Mr. Hyde).

I think the safest thing to pick is a Lakers win in which they do not cover the spread. I am going with Pacers +5 and over 225 points with a final score prediction of Lakers 115, Pacers 111.

The Los Angeles Lakers are about to embark on their yearly Grammys road trip that sees them play away from LA for quite some time. Ironically enough, the Grammys were actually postponed to April and moved to Las Vegas, so the Lakers are going on this massive road trip for nothing.
