The trade deadline is extremely important for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. The Lakers have had an awful season thus far compared to the expectations heading into the season and the team is going to look to improve in any way possible.
At the time of writing this, it seems very bleak for the Lakers moving forward. Frank Vogel is on the hot seat and Russell Westbrook was just benched in crunch time against the Indiana Pacers and is not happy about it.
The results for the Lakers have been bad all season and now chaos has joined the fold, making this a season to forget for Laker fans. While things seem extremely bleak right now, having a knockout trade deadline could change things.
However, the Los Angeles Lakers must avoid these easy-to-make mistakes.
We can no longer completely trust the Lakers front office after making the Russell Westbrook trade and there is cause for concern at the deadline. The Lakers very well could make another desperation move, which would hurt the team this season and in the future as well.
