The 2021-22 Los Angeles Lakers season is officially over and it will go down as one of the most disappointing not just in franchise history, but in league history. Two extra spots in the standings were not enough for the Lakers to extend their season past 82 games as the team instead finished with the worst record in LeBron James’ career.

There is a lot to blame to go around for the Lakers’ failure this season and it is clear that the franchise puts a lot of that blame on Frank Vogel. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the inevitable following the Lakers’ last game of the season, reporting that the Lakers were firing Vogel after just three seasons.

Firing Frank Vogel is going to go down as a mistake by the Los Angeles Lakers.

For those anti-Vogel fans out there, we decided to construct three compelling reasons why it is a mistake for the purple and gold to fire Frank Vogel after the 2021-22 season.
