Lakers schedule: Predicting the outcome of every game in 2023-24

Lakers schedule predictions, February:

February 1 at Boston Celtics: LOSS

It is really hard to beat a good team like the Celtics twice in one season. With the Celtics now at home, they get the best of their bitter rivals.

February 3 at New York Knicks: WIN 

The Knicks almost get hurt by the fact that they play in Madison Square Garden. LeBron doesn’t have many more games at MSG so he is going to make sure that he has a vintage performance in this one.

February 5 at Charlotte Hornets: WIN

The Lakers win a scheduled off-day for LeBron against a much inferior Charlotte team.

February 8 vs Denver Nuggets: WIN

The entire reason why LeBron rested against Charlotte was to play in this game and be at 100%. With that in mind, the Lakers beat the Nuggets for a second time in the regular season to send a message.

February 9 vs New Orleans Pelicans: LOSS

LeBron plays in this game but it is a scheduled off-day for Anthony Davis. The game starts to slip away and Darvin Ham takes his foot off the gas pedal and sits LeBron in the fourth in a scheduled loss of sorts.

February 13 vs Detroit Pistons:  WIN

The Lakers have four days off and come into this game against Detroit firing on all cylinders.

February 14 at Utah Jazz: LOSS

Playing the second leg of a back-to-back in an arena that is at 4,300 feet elevation is not an easy thing to do. Los Angeles drops the final game of the first half before the break.

February 22 at Golden State Warriors: WIN

The Lakers come into the second half rested and get a game back against the Warriors to start a long stretch in which the team only leaves California once.

February 23 vs San Antonio Spurs: WIN

This back-to-back comes after a long break so the Lakers will have a better time getting past Wemby and the Spurs.

February 25 at Phoenix Suns: LOSS

The Suns get this game back to officially go 2-2 against the purple and gold in the regular season. That feels like the most likely series outcome for these two teams.

February 28 at LA Clippers: WIN

The shoe is on the other foot this time as the Lakers win a game to even a season series up at two games apiece.

February 29 vs Washington Wizards: WIN

It does not matter if this is the second leg of a back-to-back and the stars rest. The Wizards should be the worst team in the league next season.
