What can the Lakers offer for DeMar DeRozan?

The Bulls missed the playoff last year and have done little to prove they are contenders this season. DeRozan is on an expiring contract, and two sides are reportedly not close to an extension. If they cannot agree, the Bulls should trade him before February’s deadline.

They may get more draft capital in other deals, but the Lakers’ first-round pick has potential to be in the lottery. Do the Bulls gamble on that upside? Here is a deal that might get it done courtesy of Bleacher Report.

The Bulls could reroute D’Angelo Russell and Gabe Vincent to get multiple draft picks out of this package. The pair might fetch two late first-rounders or a handful of seconds. Chicago would hope to get the package Brooklyn received from the Mavericks for Kyrie Irving’s expiring deal at last season’s deadline of two quality role players, one first, and two second-rounders.

This is a gamble that the Lakers struggle after LeBron’s departure, which seems possible. They would certainly have to remake their roster and could face a lengthy rebuild. If the Bulls are willing to accept, should Los Angeles make it happen?
