The 21-year-old showed significant improvement this season. He shot 37.6 percent from 3-point range over 20 G League games and made 22 of 57 in his NBA minutes. Bronny struggles on defense, must improve his ball-handling, and is not ready for a nightly rotation role. His gains were positive, but there are no guarantees he sticks with the Lakers if LeBron is gone.
Paul made it clear that all the talk about LeBron is noise. King James hasn’t made a decision yet. He proved he’s still elite, but the 41-year-old is an unrestricted free agent. LeBron is more likely to leave the Lakers the longer this plays out, and his departure likely means the end of Bronny.

Golden State feels like the only real threat to steal King James at the moment. LeBron has always been intrigued by playing with Stephen Curry. The Warriors reportedly had interest in Bronny during the 2024 draft. They ultimately passed after Paul told teams that LeBron’s son would play in Australia if he didn’t end up with the Lakers. They would have no issues trading for Bronny if it meant getting LeBron.
The Lakers take care of their superstars. They always have. If Los Angeles can’t win the free agent bidding for LeBron, they would trade his son to his new home.
