A name few have mentioned, but one the Lakers are familiar with. The last two summers, CDR was a member of the Lakers summer league squad. In 2012-13, he was the final cut for the Lakers roster during training camp. Last season, an ankle injury during Summer League kept him from joining the Lakers.

However, CDR caught on with the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets) last season and earned his keep. After a bit of a rough start, CDR found his groove and, over the course of the final 23 games of the regular season, averaged 9.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and shot 39% from three-point territory.

Now a free agent, Douglas-Roberts presents the Lakers with a familiar face and a young prospect. At 27 years old, CDR still has some room to grow and will come at a cheap price, a big plus for the Lakers. The last few years have shown the Lakers willingness to take a chance on low-risk, high-reward players like Xavier Henry, Wes Johnson, and Kendall Marshall. CDR certainly fits the mold.
