Lakers rookie Anthony Brown will get the start for the Lakers, Saturday in Oklahoma City
Christmas has come a little bit early for Lakers faithful who have been begging for rookie forward Anthony Brown to get some playing time.
Despite starting various games throughout the preseason, Brown was buried deep on Byron Scott‘s bench, even being demoted to the D-League for a short period of time.

With Kobe Bryant sitting out with a sore right shoulder, Anthony Brown got the starting nod and will have his hands full chasing superstar Kevin Durant around against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Fans are convinced that Brown represents the future small forward for the Lakers, as he is a perfect 3-and-D player. Saturday will be his first shot at showing fans just that.
Despite dominating for the D-Fenders alongside Tarik Black, Ryan Kelly and Robert Upshaw, Brown will quickly find out that the D-League is not an accurate representation of NBA talent.
When asked about starting Brown and him playing against KD, Byron Scott joked,
"I just don’t want him to ask for his autograph after the game. I’m anxious. I want to see how the young man reacts. It’s a great challenge. You want to see what he’s made of right away. I’m excited to see how this goes."
On the Kobe front, the Lakers are not revealing how serious his injury is, but it should be cause for at least minor concern seeing that he had rotator cuff surgery on the same shoulder.
