4. Lakers Get Paul George, Pacers Get Swaggy, Lou, Ryan Kelly

I’m not 100 percent sure, but I think that the addition of Paul George might actually benefit the Lakers. If you think that putting a dynamic and versatile scorer as well as an elite defender on the wing would help improve the Lakers, then you obviously share those feelings.

The hilarious part is how little the Lakers would actually have to give up in terms of the salary cap rules and regulations in order to get George away from the Indiana Pacers. Considering that Williams and Young are already on the trade block and the fact that Ryan Kelly is basically already not a member of the team anyway, the notion that those three players could theoretically land the Lakers Paul George is absurd in and of itself.

Perhaps the craziest part about this, though, is that the “Hollinger’s Analysis” for this trade on the ESPN Trade Machine says that acquiring George in exchange for these three Lakers players would only improve Los Angeles by two wins. Like, what? The idea of adding Paul George to the Lakers and it only making the team two wins better is almost as insane as the idea that this trade would be even remotely realistic.
