Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: If Dwyane Wade is bought out by the Chicago Bulls, the Lakers are a team that appeals to him.
Los Angeles Lakers fans will be happy to hear the most recent Lakers Rumors. There have been some rumors popping up about who the Lakers will use their last roster spot on. Shabazz Muhammad was one player mentioned, but what if the Lakers had a chance to add a future Hall of Famer to the roster?
There has been plenty of reports about the Lakers being the landing spot for LeBron James if he leaves the Cleveland Cavaliers. NBA Executives believe the Lakers will be where James lands. Could one of his best friends in the league in Dwyane Wade beat him there?
There have been some reports of a Wade buyout from the Chicago Bulls. Wade had a player option for the 2017-18 season worth $23.8 million. To the surprise of no one, Wade picked that option up.

However, the Bulls have little use for the veteran. They are in a clear rebuild, so having Wade on the roster makes little sense. Once Jimmy Butler was traded away, the direction the Bulls wanted to head in was clear.
When Butler told the Cleveland Cavaliers that he was not interested in being traded there, it looked like Chicago would bring the band back together for another season. That all changed once the Bulls decided to trade Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
With Butler now reunited with Tom Thibodeau in Minnesota, it seems to be only a matter of time until Wade leaves Chicago as well. However, no one knows when that buyout will come.
In August, it was reported that Wade would be bought out by the Bulls, but it could take a few months. While we wait to see when Wade will be bought out, we know some teams that could be interested.
One of the teams that reportedly appeal to Wade is the Lakers. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, an associate of Wade’s has said that the Lakers are appealing to him, in addition to the Miami Heat. Jackson added that this associate is the one that topped him off to Wade the Heat not having great negotiations.
The Lakers are a newly named possible destination for Wade. Previously, the Cavaliers were named as a landing spot as Wade would like to reunite with his friend, LeBron James.
Los Angeles being named a possible landing spot seems odd, given they are in the midst of a rebuild, just like the Bulls. However, the Lakers have big plans for free agency in 2018. Could landing Wade be the first step in that process to add more veterans next offseason?

It is something we will have to keep an eye on in the coming weeks and months. The Lakers are heading in the right direction, but the postseason still seems unlikely for the Lakers this season.
