The Los Angeles Lakers will be hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Honda Center on Saturday, September 30th. Here is all the information you need to watch.
The Los Angeles Lakers kick off their 2017 preseason tonight against the up-and-coming Minnesota Timberwolves. This will be the first chance for many fans to see the new-look Lakers in action, but they will not be at full strength.
Earlier in the week, the Lakers already announced that a few players would not suit up tonight, some expected to be a part of their rotation. Any big men looking to make a name for themselves and earn a roster spot will have a great chance to do so as the Lakers will be shorthanded up front.
Centers Brook Lopez and Andrew Bogut will both be sidelined tonight. Lopez is dealing with lingering back problems, so the Lakers will take it easy with him in the early going. Bogut is having visa issues but is expected to rejoin the team.

With those two players sideline, keep an eye on Ivica Zubac. Zubac struggled in the Las Vegas Summer League and was well aware. He looked lost at times with the up-tempo play and will need some time to adjust. Tonight is an excellent chance for him to showcase that he can still be part of the Lakers core going forward.
The third player that will be sidelined is Josh Hart. Hart missed almost all of the Summer League because of an ankle injury. He injured his hamstring in camp, which has caused him to miss some time.
Lopez and Hart are heading in the right direction, though. Serena Winters said that they have been cleared for half court contact, which is a step in the right direction.
What everyone is most excited about is seeing Lonzo Ball in his first game action. Ball has been the talk of the town throughout training camp thus far. His teams are dominating in scrimmages and his passing ability is impressing his teammates, namely Julius Randle.
After seeing what Ball did in the Summer League, people are excited to see what he will do with NBA caliber talent not only on his team but playing against him as well.
Don’t know where to see Ball and the Lakers take the court tonight? Don’t worry, we have you covered. Here is all the information you need to watch the Lakers and Timberwolves begin their 2017 preseason.
