Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Rookie Kyle Kuzma is dealing with a hip contusion, but he should be good to go Tuesday against the Detroit Pistons.
Recent Los Angeles Lakers rumors will make fans happy. Rookie Kyle Kuzma has been nursing a hip contusion, but the team does not sound too worried about it.
Kuzma was a limited participant in practice on Monday in preparation for the game Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons. It is a game the Lakers will need all hands on deck for, as the Pistons are coming in on fire.
The Pistons are currently leading the Eastern Conference with a record of 5-2. They are off to a strong start in large part because of their strong defense. The Pistons rank 8th in the NBA in points allowed.
With a tough defensive team coming in, the Lakers need Kuzma on the court. Luckily for them, it sounds like he will be good to go.
According to Serena Winters of Lakers Nation, Kuzma was limited because of the left hip contusion, but they do not sound worried about his availability for the game against the Pistons.

This is great news for the Lakers, who could really use Kuzma’s scoring prowess against the Pistons. Detroit has been on fire, as they will enter the game on a three-game winning streak.

The last two have both come on the road, as the Pistons knocked off the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors. The first victory of their winning streak came at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves, another impressive victory.
Detroit will want to finish this road trip with a victory and head back home on a four-game winning streak. They will be ready to go on Tuesday night. If the Lakers want to snap their losing streak, having Kuzma in the lineup will help.
Kuzma should see his full allotment of minutes on Tuesday night against the Pistons. A hip contusion could be a difficult injury to deal with, especially for a player such as Kuzma that spends so much time around the paint banging around.

However, the Lakers do not sound too concerned about it. If the Lakers were worried that Kuzma could do more damage, they would not play him against the Pistons and would let him rest to get back to 100 percent.
