The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks face off tonight, December 12th, at Madison Square Garden. Here is all the information you need to watch and listen to the game!
The Los Angeles Lakers east coast trip continues tonight. The Lakers will be making a stop at The Mecca, paying a visit to the New York Knicks.
The Lakers come into the game on a two-game winning streak. Their east coast trip has started out well, as they have won the first two games. Both victories snapped five-game losing streaks. The defeat of the Philadelphia 76ers snapped a five-game losing streak. Beating the Charlotte Hornets snapped a five-game losing streak to them.
Los Angeles’ record now stands at 10-15 on the season. The Knicks record stands at 13-13 as they have been one of the bigger surprises of the season thus far. They have alternated wins and losses in their last four games.
Tonight’s game will feature plenty of matchups to keep an eye on. Two impressive rookie point guards will be matched up at times, as Lonzo Ball and Frank Ntilikina will face off. There aren’t many point guards that can compare to Ball’s size and length, but Ntilikina can. Seeing how Ball plays against someone near his size will be interesting.

On the inside, the Lakers are in for a long night. Kristaps Porzingis has grown into his own in his third season in the NBA and first without Carmelo Anthony. Porzingis is virtually unstoppable offensively given his size and skill set. Larry Nance Jr. will most likely have the first crack at slowing him down.
Next to Porzingis is Enes Kanter. Kanter came over from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Anthony trade and has been great. His fits alongside Porzingis doing the dirty work on the inside. If Luke Walton goes small, the Knicks could have a huge advantage on the inside.
Brook Lopez will be an important player in this game. He could force Kanter away from the basket, lessening the advantage the Knicks have on the interior. If he can knock down a few perimeter jumpers at the beginning of the game, it could change the tide.
Off the bench could be where the Lakers have the biggest advantage, but the Knicks second unit is solid as well. Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma lead the Lakers bench unit. The Knicks have Doug McDermott, Michael Beasley and Kyle O’Quinn off the bench. Both second units are impressive and should matchup well, just like the starters.
Who will be able to get the victory in a matchup of two up-and-coming teams? We will have to watch and find out! Here is all the information you need to watch or listen to the nationally televised game tonight between the Lakers and Knicks.
