Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Forward Kyle Kuzma may not be able to suit up Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder because of a quad injury.
Recent Los Angeles Lakers rumors provide a cloudy perspective on some injury news. The Lakers are struggling with injuries right now. Starting center Brook Lopez and starting point guard Lonzo Ball are both sidelined. Shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope cannot participate in anything outside the state of California.
Now, the Lakers could be without another important player. Forward Kyle Kuzma has been dealing with a quad injury recently. He has not missed any games, but it has hampered him at times during play.
On Monday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kuzma was once again bothered by the quad injury. Whenever something is injured, it seems to always find a way to be hit or reaggravated during games. That is what Kuzma is dealing with.
While he has yet to miss any time, that could change this week. Lakers Nation and Spectrum SportsNet reporter Serena Winters said Kuzma’s quad is something to keep an eye on.
Following Monday’s game, Kuzma did not omit a ton of confidence in regards to his availability for Wednesday night’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
While Kuzma has cooled off in recent games, he is still having an excellent season. He is averaging 17.0 points per game, which is tops on the team. He has surpassed all expectations for his rookie season. Not having him in the lineup Wednesday would be a big blow.

As it was mentioned earlier, the Lakers are already dealing with a ton of injuries to integral players on the team. If they do not have Kuzma in the lineup, the Lakers will really struggle to score as Brandon Ingram and Jordan Clarkson would carry virtually all the scoring load.
Kuzma being sidelined would also cause another change to be made to the lineup. Constant lineup changes have been a topic of discussion for the Lakers this season, as tensions are rising on the roster.
At full strength, the Lakers would have their hands full with the Thunder. Despite their own struggles this season, the Thunder have three bonafide studs in Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony.

All three present problems for the Lakers defense. Keeping up with them offensively is another challenge. If Ball is still not cleared to play, and Kuzma is sidelined also, the game could get ugly quickly on Wednesday against a Thunder team that looks to be figuring things out.
