Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma is heading over to China for the 2018 NBA Finals and a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The Los Angeles Lakers are not in the NBA Finals, but one of their players is still making the most of the NBA Finals. Lakers rookie forward Kyle Kuzma is getting an experience of a lifetime for these playoffs.
Kuzma is part of a group that will be heading to China from June 1st-9th to celebrate the 2018 NBA Finals. NBA China announced that Kuzma, along with Harrison Barnes of the Dallas Mavericks and Hall of Famer David Robinson would visiting China.
In addition to the NBA Finals celebration, the group will be taking part in a youth initiative in China. Kuzma attended a viewing party for Game 1 in Weinan, Shaanxi Province, hosted by NBA China’s broadcast partner BesTV.
Kuzma will have a busy few days overseas. After the viewing party, Kuzma will be attending a junior NBA basketball court donation ceremony. That donation will be made as part of the NBA’s celebration of the Internation Children’s Day in conjunction with Shanghai Sports Federation.

The next thing on Kuzma’s docket is a trip to Beijing. There he will be hosting an NBA Cares basketball clinic for migrant school students, which is also a celebration of International Children’s Day. It will also be a meet and greet at the junior NBA Beijing High School League Finals.
During his visit to Beijing, Kuzma will also get some television time. He will be providing commentary on Tencent’s NBA Finals broadcast between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors. A viewing party will also be attended by Kuzma for NBA League Pass and subscribers of Tencent Sports.
Kuzma will also be making a visit to the new NBA Playzone Beijing where he will meet people that were selected via the NBA App and NBA QMQ in the league’s Beijing office.
His final stop will be in Taipei. There he will have an appearance at the NBA Store and also do an interview with Videoland.
Kuzma is very excited about the opportunity to visit China for the first time in his life.

While Kuzma would probably prefer to be playing in the NBA Finals, this is a solid consolation prize. Getting selected to make this trip is quite an honor.
