Recent Los Angeles Lakers rumors will make fans happy, as point guard Lonzo Ball is expected to make his season debut Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors.
Recent Los Angeles Lakers rumors have involved point guard, Lonzo Ball. Ball has yet to take the court yet this preseason, as he is recovering from offseason knee surgery.
The Lakers have taken their time with their point guard, and rightfully so. Ball battled numerous injuries to his knee last season, and finally, surgery was needed as a last resort.
Ball was cleared to return to basketball activities just over two weeks ago. He has been ramping up his participation in practice, and it sounds like the Lakers have finally seen enough to allow Ball back on the court.
According to Mike Trudell, from the mouth of Ball himself, Ball will be taking the court on Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors.
Lonzo Ball said he’s playing tomorrow.

This is excellent news for Ball and the Lakers. With the regular season just days away, it is imperative that he gets some work on the court with his new teammates. Developing chemistry and cohesion is important, but knocking off the rust is important for Ball as well.

Ball has not played in a game since March 28th against the Dallas Mavericks. He then sat out the final eight games of the regular season, which put him at 30 missed games in his rookie campaign.
The injuries continue throughout the offseason, as Ball was unable to remain healthy enough to get back on the court during the summer.
With Ball sidelined, Rajon Rondo has been manning the starting point guard spot. It was reported a few weeks ago that Rondo would be the starting point guard for the Lakers come the regular season. Until Ball is back up to speed and ready to play a full allotment of minutes, Rondo will probably remain the starter.
Given how long he has been sidelined, it is fair to assume he will be on a minutes limit. Ball said that his knee is feeling good, but the Lakers will remain cautious with their second-year point guard until they are 100 percent convinced he is healthy and over his knee injury.
While Ball will reportedly make his debut Wednesday, Josh Hart may not be on the court. According to Trudell, Hart is questionable with a hamstring issue.
