4. He can score

He may not be the second coming of Kobe Bryant, but Terrence Ross is capable of giving his team a noticeable boost offensively.

Coming off of an injury-plagued 2017-18 season, he played in 81 games this season and averaged a career-high 15.1 points per game despite playing about the same number of minutes he always has (for his career he’s averaged 24.3 minutes a game).

He may not be the most consistent scorer from game to game, but he’s had some big moments.

On November 26, he scored 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting against the otherworldly Golden State Warriors. On February 24 he poured in 28 points against Toronto. He also had four games this season where he scored at least 30 points.

Then there was the time when, a few years ago, he scored 51 points on 16-29 shooting as a member of the Toronto Raptors against the L.A. Clippers.

He is the kind of guy who, at times, can come in and change the tenor of the game. Many, if not all championship teams have a guy like that on their roster. On past Laker championship teams, Lamar Odom, Michael Cooper and Bob McAdoo played that role well.
