Marc Gasol

While Gasol is not getting any younger, he has proven his worth during the Toronto Raptors finals run, being a pivotal piece in helping bring Toronto and Canada it’s first NBA Championship. Gasol, before this, had spent his entire career with the Memphis Grizzlies, having been drafted by the Lakers and moved in a deal for his brother Pau Gasol.

In Marc Gasol, you have an inside out threat. He is capable of making you look silly in the post with an arsenal of post moves and he is also a very respectable 3-point shooter, which in turn, keeps his defenders honest. He was able to show off fantastic defense in the playoffs also.

I truly believe he would be the perfect compliment to Anthony Davis. While the likes of Brook Lopez, who is also capable of stretching the floor and DeMarcus Cousins, who if he bounces back from his numerous injuries could be the perfect compliment also, I just think that Gasol offers the perfect mix of experience, 3-point shooting and defense that the Lakers need.

You won’t get any drama from Marc Gasol which would be an added plus.
