Danny Green

Another Toronto Raptor and newly minted NBA Champion on my list, Danny Green is one of the more underappreciated players in the NBA. On the Spurs championship team, his contributions went relatively unnoticed. This time around, the plaudits are rightly being given to the likes of Kawhi Leonard and Fred VanVleet, but it is Danny Green, for me, who was able to give consistent effort each game and played hard on both ends of the floor.

In Danny Green, you get a fantastic two-way player. Green’s effort on defense is infectious. He can switch onto both guards and forwards and will give you nonstop effort every single night. On the offensive end, he is an excellent shooter with a career number of 40.4% from the 3-point line. He showed his ability to catch fire during the Raptors playoff run and punished any team that didn’t respect his shot.

He would be the perfect complimentary player beside Anthony Davis and LeBron James. Having Green coming off of screens with defenders draped all over LeBron and AD would give him so many chances to get wide open 3-point shots. Not only that, if LeBron decides to sag off on defense, Green is capable of picking up LeBron’s man and give him a hard time.

Someone like Bojan Bogdanovic would also be an amazing fit with the Lakers. However, I think the market for Bogdanovic is going to be very full and his price is going to go up very quickly this summer.
