4. Brandon Ingram‘s 36 Points vs Philadelphia

When watching this game last season, an initial thought about it was being impressed by the fact that Brandon Ingram was able to score 36 points on such an efficient 16-for-20 from the field.

Then the realization that Brandon had only scored 30 points or more only once in the past set in.

Now granted he did go on to have two more 30 point games that season. But, at that point, I had realized that despite Brandon Ingram putting up good numbers throughout the first two and a half years of his career, myself and others still felt like he had an entirely new level to his game that many believed he would have reached by now.

Now at this point in the season, the Lakers were practically out of playoff contention and were trotting out a starting lineup that featured Michael Beasley and Ivica Zubac.

Ingram led both teams with his 36 points, including a monster poster dunk on former teammate Corey Brewer. Although they did start off the game by going down 20-8 and were eventually blown out by a score of 121-105.

It was a good game for Brandon, but personally, I had expected more from Ingram at that point in his career.

He’ll have a fresh start for the New Orleans Pelicans and hopefully he will be able to reach his potential in a new environment.
