Former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Josh Hart threw some shade at the organization in a recent episode of his podcast.

The Los Angeles Lakers shook up their roster in a big way this offseason. Looking to finally get the second superstar they have been planning to acquire for years, they made a difficult decision.

The Lakers decided to break up their young core, holding onto only Kyle Kuzma. Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart were traded to the New Orleans, along with multiple draft picks, for Anthony Davis.

It was a trade that would change the landscape of not only the Lakers but the NBA as a whole. Los Angeles was back in the contending picture as Davis and LeBron James are one of the best pairings in the league. New Orleans, on the other hand, now has one of the best young groups in the NBA with the three former Lakers and Zion Williamson.

One of the things that the Lakers‘ youngsters, outside of Ingram, were known for was their presence on social media. Kuzma, Ball and Hart would routinely roast each other on Twitter and Instagram.

Hart was and still is a presence in the video game community. He also has his own podcast titled Light Harted.

On a recent episode of the podcast, Hart had Ball on as a guest. There was plenty discussed, as Ball has had a lot happen in his life recently. Big Baller Brand was in the news for all the wrong reasons. He is embarking on the next chapter of his NBA career. He also has younger brothers that are looking to make a name for themselves in the basketball world.

LiAngelo and LaMelo at one point played overseas together in Lithuania. This came after LiAngelo was suspended from UCLA and eventually withdrew. LiAngelo skipped a year of high school to play overseas with his brother.

Lonzo was asked about Lithuania and gave a less than stellar review of the country. This is also when Hart took a shot at the Lakers organization and threw some shade.

Sounds like Hart wasn’t too fond of how the Lakers handled their business, but it is not all that surprising to hear. Based on comments made by Magic Johnson since his resignation, it sounds like the organization was a tough one to be working in.

Johnson detailed backstabbing during an appearance on ESPN’s First Take. There was a lot of turmoil within the front office and the performance on the court was not helping. The Lakers are in the midst of the longest playoff drought in franchise history, which sits at six seasons.

With so much negativity throughout the organization, there probably were a lot of unhappy people that weren’t smiling.

Hopefully, with some of the new players on the roster, there will be happier times for the organization this season as the team looks to end their playoff drought and get back to contending for NBA Championships.
