2. Christian Wood
Christian Wood crashed onto the scene for the Pistons late in the season and was certainly making a name for himself in the ‘Most Improved Player’ race.
Across Wood’s last fifteen games, he has shown true stardom in Detroit, averaging 22.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.9 stocks on 41.0 percent shooting from three. He might be a bargain in free agency and it could be one that pays off in a big way.
Granted, the Pistons provide a favorable spot for Wood to put up numbers, but it also a place for him to develop thoroughly. Wood represents a significantly better option than Kyle Kuzma playing 35 minutes a night at the four spot.
The Lakers could potentially have the cap room to sign Christian Wood even with the return of Anthony Davis contingent on them making some moves to clear cap. If you can’t tell, I am all aboard the Christian Wood hype train.
