Markieff Morris

Markieff Morris was the Lakers’ post-trade deadline acquisition. While his brother Marcus was the best available player at the deadline, obtained by the Clippers, Markieff was the best available in the buyout market and Rob Pelinka jumped at the opportunity to add him to the roster.

Kieff’s spare production, again due to the pandemic, did not give much to hope for Lakerland, but he rose in the playoffs.

He shot 40 percent from three, was critical on defense and also provided the Lakers with huge double-figure nights.

Given what he accomplished in this championship run, and provided a whole training camp with the team, there are good chances to have him as an even better contributor for the purple and gold next year.
