Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Despite not signing with Big Baller Brand prior to the draft, Markelle Fultz is still hoping to wear some Big Baller Brand gear.
With the NBA offseason winding down and training camp a few weeks away, Los Angeles Lakers rumors have slowed down considerably. The Lakers have only one roster spot left to fill before training camp, so there won’t be much player movement left. However, the Lakers have found themselves mentioned a few times recently.
Many of the recent rumors involving the Lakers revolve around the NBA regular season schedule. While the whole schedule has not yet been released, some of the Lakers games have been leaked.
We know that the Lakers will be playing against the rival Los Angeles Clippers on opening night in what will be a Lakers home game at the Staples Center. We also know that the Lakers will host the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of the NBA’s Christmas Day games. In the most recent rumor, we have learned that another NBA player wants to rep the Big Baller Brand.

There has been a lot of discussion surrounding Lonzo Ball and the Big Baller Brand, the brainchild of his father, LaVar Ball. LaVar has gotten the company a ton of publicity from his antics, while Lonzo’s play on the court hasn’t hurt the brand. While reviews have been mixed, one player who wants to wear some Big Baller Brand stuff is Markelle Fultz.
Fultz was the No.1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, one spot ahead of Ball. The two will be linked forever not only because they were the first two picks in the same draft, but also play the same position. The two played against each other in college as well, as Fultz played at Washington and Ball played collegiately at UCLA.
Fultz missed one of the lopsided matchups against Ball and the Bruins but came away very impressed with Ball’s play. Fultz has said that Ball was the best player he played against while in college, and also mentioned how he would like to wear some Big Baller Brand gear as well via the NBA’s Twitch Channel.
There is a lot of respect between Fultz and Ball, which is good to see. The two have a chance to develop quite a rivalry in the NBA despite being in opposite conferences. With how talented both players are, there is a chance they could draw quite a crowd whenever they face off.

However, it is unlikely that we will see Fultz wearing the same gear as Ball. Fultz signed a deal with Nike back in June even before he was officially selected No. 1 overall by the 76ers. Prior to signing with Nike, it was reported that Fultz at least contemplated signing with Big Baller Brand.
