Los Angeles Lakers center Brook Lopez is not among the top-10 rated centers in NBA 2K18.

Some Los Angeles Lakers player overalls for NBA 2K18 have been released. We have seen most of the rookie class revealed thus far, including the Lakers three first round picks.

No. 2 overall pick, Lonzo Ball, is tied for the highest rating among rookies. He received a rating of 80 overall, which is tied with No. 1 overall pick, Philadelphia 76ers point guard, Markelle Fultz. No. 27 overall pick, Utah power forward Kyle Kuzma, was excited about his rating of a 72. No. 30 overall pick, Josh Hart, has an overall rating of 70.

We will have to wait to see some of the other ratings, but it is clear that the Lakers may not have a great roster in NBA 2K18. The opposite can be said for their All-Time roster, which was recently announced.

More from Lakers News

The Lakers have arguably the best All-Time team of any franchise in 2K18. They are loaded with Hall of Famers with 11 players receiving an overall rating of 90 or better. It is pretty safe to say that the Lakers regular roster will not have any players rated a 90 or better.

There is a chance that Ball is actually the highest rated player on the Lakers this upcoming season. Looking at the rest of the Lakers roster, there is only one other player on the team that has a chance to be rated above Ball and that is Brook Lopez.

The Lakers acquired Lopez from the Brooklyn Nets prior to the NBA Draft. The Lakers received the No. 27 pick along with Lopez in exchange for Timofey Mozgov and D’Angelo Russell. Russell will be an 80 overall again this season.

There is a chance that Lopez is at least an 80, but we don’t know yet for sure. What we do know is that Lopez is not among the top-10 rated centers in the game.

The official NBA 2K Facebook page is sharing the top-10 players at every position. Center was the first position they shared, and Lopez is not among the top-10 despite being in the top-10 last year.

Myles Turner is the newest addition to the top-10 after being an 82 last season and just missing. It would be hard to imagine that Lopez isn’t right after on the list, as he is very deserving of being over an 80 overall in this year’s game.

Lopez is one of the best offensive centers in the NBA. His expanded range to beyond the three-point line last season only helped his cause. While he is not in the top-10 of centers in the game, it would be shocking to see him with a ranking outside the top-12 or with an overall rating below 80.
