It seems the Kyle Kuzma was about five seconds from being traded with Danny Green!

According to Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus on the Locked on Lakers podcast, the Lakers reached out to the Pelicans about a trade for Jrue Holiday centered around Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green, the 28th pick, and other considerations.

"“From what I understand, there was interest in Jrue Holiday on the Lakers’ side ahead of Dennis Schröder with a similar package, but with Kuzma in it as well. … So I know that, on some level, they’d be willing to move him. Like, if it was a significant upgrade,”"

Needless to say, the Pelicans said no and pulled off a major deal of their own sending Holiday to Milwaukee for Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, three first-round picks and two first-round pick swaps. Oh well.

Kuzma is looking for a huge contract extension and the Lakers probably won’t give it to him. No check that, they won’t. With Kuzma deactivating his Twitter account just before draft night is not a good way to hide his worry.

Lake Show Life did our very best to defend Kuzma play all season long through the trade deadline.

That umbrella of hope is gone. Bottom line, the Lakers were looking for this Kuzma here.

Right now it looks like they are stuck with a player that regressed and has the audacity to send out a tweet stating he’s going to show a reminder why fans will respect his game. Maybe LeBron James can get away with this type of social media behavior.

Kyle Kuzma? Not so much.

Enough of the outgoing players. Let’s talk about the man of the hour. Lesson three introduces Dennis Schroder and what he can bring to the Los Angeles Lakers!
